Ununnilium: I think the Power Rangers example is a different trope, one that needs to be created. New Doctor Who spoiler: Mickey leaving in "Age of Steel" also fits under this.
Tangent128: I think this article could use splitting; while the text at the top defines the trope as "removing a character from a show in a nice way", most of the examples seem to be literal "become super powerful Energy Being" cases.

Tangent128: I have; what I'm saying is that this trope's name, and most of its examples, imply the trope that often leads to A God Am I, but the text implies any positive way of removing a character counts; the Power Rangers example fits perfectly with the text.

- How has nobody mentioned Obi-Wan or Yoda? Probably because those damn ghosts won't go away.
Earnest: What's the picture a reference to? Seahen: I'd like to know that too. A solid ellipse is a use case, like "make deposit" or "cancel order" or "perform an advanced search." Doesn't make any sense to me.
