Reiver: The webcomic Schlock Mercenary (www.schlockmercenary.com) has a bad habit of producing A Day in the Limelight for a character who then inevitably ends up dying, retiring, or otherwise being removed from the storyline. Is there a suitable trope described for this tendency yet?
- It was originally planned that the character would return on DS9, but the writers decided that would "diminish" the ending of Lower Decks.
