Starting this up that the Solomon Islands PM Manasseh Sogavare was able to survive a no confidence vote against him in Parliament.

Looks like Sogavare couldn't get a majority at the National Parliament. A bit of good news.
That sounds like a threat.
Sogavare's party, the Ownership, Unity and Responsibility Party, only have 15 in the NP. But they're not the majority party.

Jeremiah Manele is the new PM in the Solomon Islands. He'll continue Sogavare's work to have closer ties with China, but he's less confrontational.
Paris is blaming Baku for the unrest in New Caledonia.
Stuff started Kanaks protested agaaint new rules that French national who lived in NC for 10 years can vote. Kanaks say that it goes against New Caledonia’s constitution.
Longish interview with Cleo Paskal, senior fellow from the The Foundation for Defense of Democracies on talking about China's long-term plans with their concerns to handle Guam first before Taiwan. She does talk about mostly talk about it through cyber.
Guam has two bases. Naval Base Guam in Santa Rita and Andersen Air Force Base in Yigo.
She also mentioned the "issue" of Chinese nationals going to Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for tourism with no visas.
If I was a practicing Christian, I would be pretty offended by China getting labelled as having Christian values for not allowing homosexuality instead of actually following Christianity.
