Yeah, I've seen her a couple of times. But the last major role I remember seeing her in was The Social Network that was nearly a decade ago.

One day, I aspire to be the rat that pressed the button in Endgame.Premire date is June 17th. https://twitter.com/DisneyChannel/status/1129137187424022528
Is anyone else kind of disappointed in what they've seen of this? I know it's too early to tell but I used to be looking forward to this...until we got footage of the show/the trailer. I'm still going to give it a chance but I can't say I'm as interested as I was before.
I mean, I definitely got more interested upon seeing some of it, so that would need bit of explaining why seeing more of it makes it less interesting to you
Cute Frogs are laaaaaaaaaaaaaaame!
LOL.
I'm curious as to why you are less hyped than before, I loved everything I've seen so far.

I think this'll be my thread, now that Star vs. the Forces of Evil is done and the thread for it has hit a good lull and this is premiering.
I found this little nugget from Brenda Song herself. It's not too much new really, but I appreciate the extra morsels of footage to be had.

I can't remember, is this show gonna have 11 minutes per episode or 20?
11 or so, more like Star or The Loud House than Gravity Falls in that respect.
'Cuz those are what come to mind first. Also given the current batch of premises, I don't see why there wouldn't be lots of gags.

Why dont you say Steven Universe? I dont see this as a gag a day cartoon like Loud House.

Your link is not working
New theme music also a boxI haven't seriously used markups for this kind of thing in a while, so instead of embarrass myself again, I'll just point out that an excerpt from the first episode is already out. Not too much going on though.
Final trailer is out, and the first two episodes will be online after midnight tonight. https://twitter.com/Radrappy/status/1139231265721208833
It's Midnight EST...not seeing anything!
Guess I'll need to wait until Monday after all.

It's on the Disney NOW app. And you don't have to sign in with a cable provider or anything.
First eps were pretty interesting! Anne and Sprig are really cool and fun together, and Hop Pop and Polly are interesting though we don't see them much. I love the design of the frog world. Some of the jokes didn't land for me, but that's fine. Also wow, I guess I know now why Sprig is described as being Anne's first true friendship, her human world friends are dicks! As soon as Anne said that friends are supposed to do stuff to help their friends get what they want, like giving them your shoes if they want them, or stealing a music box even though you're terrified, because otherwise they won't be your friend anymore, I wanted to hug her. I also dig the tie in to a greater story arc at the end of the second ep. The episode summaries made me doubt there would be any progression of the arc until like the end of the season, but no, instead we find out at the end of the second episode that at least one of Anne's human friends ended up in Amphibia and was caught by some wizard frog demanding that she reveal if other humans came with her.

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Thanks.
So now do what I did with Star vs
"Anne or Beast": The pacing was much faster than I expected, also not as much Polly or Hop-Pop as hoped, but what moments they did have pretty much carried the episode. But perhaps that lack of things really going on was a good thing, since I think this was mostly supposed to establish Anne and Sprig, which I think it did well.
"Best Fronds": This was the much better episode, much better character moments, a little less briskly-paced, and The Stinger revealed a bit of an arc...which I wasn't expecting. Also a bit sad, since apparently neither Anne nor Sprig really had a friend, and Anne's priorities are seriously messed up.
No, the awesome vocal cover is not the opener, but the instrumental still works. I much prefer the credits theme, even though or perhaps because it's so simplistic...no gags, no cover, just a simple tune.

Yeah this is good. To answer an inquiry from upthread I was put off by the artstyle and humor in the preview/trailer because they weren't what I was expecting. Having seen these episodes though, I'm on board. I wonder if Anne's 'friends' are going to be villains or not. The opening, her nightmare in episode two, and the things she said about friendship aren't painting them in a very good light but I could see them going either way. Either going full villains or getting character development and becoming better friends and heroines.
Truth be told I think this show will outshine The Owlhouse, which I don't have a high amount of hope for
New theme music also a boxWhat? Why?
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.First come first serve, they already have an episode out so they're going to build a fanbase and following fairly quickly,Owl House wont' be out till next year having been delayed,by the time it airs Amphibia will have had many episodes out and will be firmly established where as Owlhouse will have only just started airing and people maybe have their attention drawn away if another show has already got their attention
New theme music also a boxThat's a bit of a leap. I mean, there's a lot we still don't know about that one.
I look forward to that one too.
x2
People have been excited for both shows since they were announced. The delay sucks but that doesn't mean people arne't going to watch it just because this came out first.
Agreed. These aren't Dueling Shows with similar premises. They're different enough that there should be plenty of room for an Amphibia fan to go over and watch Owl House.
And the way these networks love making everything into "Steven Bombs" makes it highly likely that there'll be overlap.
Same way I could watch Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Craig of the Creek, Victor and Valentino, DuckTales (2017), OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes, The Loud House, etc....and still chew me some bubblegum.
Ditto.
