In Italian comics Quackfaster is depicted as 30ish blonde young duck, and Polish translations of the comics clean up the issue by turning Scrooge secretary into Decomposite Character: the greyhaired and old Miss Dawg (Panna Dziab) and younger and blonde Miss Stamp (Panna Stempel). And given that Polish translation of Ducktales reboot had gone with second character name, we Poles think that Miss Stamp have been hit with Age Lift!

As someone who is only kind of familiar with the deeper parts of lore, but I constantly get Rockerduck and Roockerfeather confused.
I'm not sure who Rockerfeather is.
Optimism is a duty. This show's Rockerduck never ate his hat, did he.
I don't think so, no.
Optimism is a duty.In the original Duck Tales Glomgold would do that instead of Rockerduck.
I think that's because that show's Glomgold is a bit of a Composite Character between comics Glomgold and Rockerduck.
Neither of those were ever that nutty, though. That part is original to this show.
Optimism is a duty.I do think it is interesting that this show made Glomgold considerably younger than Scrooge and made Rockerduck his contemporary. There's probably something to be said there.
I don't know, I think that has more to do with the show trying to reconcile Scrooge's impossible age with trying to set up a modern day setting.
I mean, Ma Beagle is technically older than Scrooge, and Gyro is also a contemporary of Scrooge, just to name a few. But of course, once you start pulling that thread...
I don't know why this show wanted to make such a big deal out of reconciling Scrooge's age, anyway. The comics certainly have no qualms about using modern tech while still referring to Scrooge's 1880s gold digging times. He was already pushing 100 by 1967 anyway, so it's not like it hasn't always been an issue for the comics.
Optimism is a duty. So, anyone wonder how Donald would've reacted to Glomgold's behavior at Scrooge's "funeral" in The 87 Cent Solution?
It's not really a question, that duck is known for his Unstoppable Rage...
"I mean, Ma Beagle is technically older than Scrooge, and Gyro is also a contemporary of Scrooge, just to name a few." - you mean in the comics, right? In the show, Ma Beagle is still a child when an adult Scrooge wins Duckburg from Grandpa Beagle, and Gyro's appearance in the Old West is due to time travel shenanigans, otherwise he's a lot younger than Scrooge (he was a young and naive intern under Dr. Akita 20 years prior to the show's events).
Yes, in the comics, though Ma Beagle is a Ducktales invention, I think. But when Scrooge meets the Beagles for the first time, they are all young men about the same age as him, and Blackheart Beagle is obviously older than Scrooge, so logically Ma Beagle should be as well.
Man, Blackheart Beagle, why didn't he show up on the show?
Optimism is a duty.Isn't Blackheart Beagle the same character as Grandpa Beagle?
Yes, he is... Oh yeah, he did appear on the show, I forgot.
Optimism is a duty.I don't really understand how, in the version of "Darkwing Duck" by Angones and Youngberg, the city is still mired in crime. Mayor Owlson also put everything in order there. Okay, the supervillains or some organized group are deeply secretive. But for 49% of the population to be criminals, it's too much. Although... Ragnarok threatens to happen there every 10 years, so it's not surprising. But I liked the character Owlson, I don't want to think that all her work gone for nothing.
Perhaps it's a work in progress, straightening St. Canard out. Much in the way of the nitty and gritty to iron out, some elements of which Owlson might not catch on first glance.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...Of course it is. It's comic book exaggeration, basically. No society could survive that crime rate for any length of time.
I think this is just a MST3K Mantra situation. Also, that trope needs a better name, that's just incomprehensible at this point.

Optimism is a duty.Nightmare on Killmotor Hill
Why was this so urgent, though? Was this in a pub quiz or something?
Optimism is a duty.I first thought that you put it in the wake of new episode of The Amazing Digital Circus.

I thought that they would include Angus Mcduck and Ratchet Gearloose, since they were part of Scrooge's first adventure in America and his first meeting with Blackheart Beagle and his sons. Where Scrooge would give Blackheart's gang their name "The Beagle Boys".
"May your heart be your guiding key"
the 2017 series bible does put emphasis on a bunch of stuff they'll take as inspirations (or required reading/watching for the series). They mention Don Rosa, but specifically highlight Life And Times so that reasoning does seem to me like it tracks. The show doesn't try that often to pull into the darker aspects of Scrooge but when it does, they can get it rather right in characterization (altho I will admit the payoff to something like the Life and Crimes episode, isn't the most fulfilling)
