The German Foreign Minister had to cut her visit short in Mykolaiv due to sightings of a Russian drone.
Interesting vid on the use of drone and it illustrates how militaries would like to find ways to counter them that don't require a lot of missiles or heavy ordnance if possible.

A reddit post on the evolution of FPV drones being used by Ukraine.
It's interesting reading the first page of this thread and this one.
Impressive flying with a Ukrainian FPV drone flying over the Russians making use of wood (cardboard) to block the doorway.
News came in that the Borisoglebsk Aviation Training Center was attacked, courtesy of the GUR by (supposedly) drones.

Bloomberg vid on that drones are going to be here to stay, even in the next conflict.
Flamethrower Robot Dog for less than $10,000. People are already joking that this is gonna be used in some war; how long until this warcrime on legs actually happens though?

"There's no such thing as pure freedom in this world. Even the wind cannot blow forever."Flamethrowers in modern war are Awesome, but Impractical and essentially outdated (nowadays you'd more likely use something like an incendiary rocket launcher). Arguably drones get around some of the weaknesses of flamethrowers.
- They have relatively short range. Robots might be able to get closer, or at the very least the robot is more expendable.
- They're highly visible. Good thing the robot is expendable!
Though I will note that this system could probably be replaced with:
- An incendiary rocket launcher.
- An incendiary rocket launcher mounted on a robot.
- A kamikaze drone with an incendiary explosive on it.
Of course, you could replace the flamer with something like a machine gun. Also, I hope that it goes without saying that you need a human in direct control of the gun.
There actually have been many attempts to make a weaponized Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV). These are usually either small treaded robots with a weapon turret on them, or more regular-sized military vehicles that are remote-controlled.
I am unsure if any weaponized UG Vs have actually been used in combat to kill people before.
A Spot-style robot being weaponized is plausible, and in fact the direct predecessor to Spot is Big Dog, which was a military robot. I am not aware of any plans for Big Dog to be weaponized, however.
I've heard that Boston Dynamic's current owners are not keen on weaponizing Spot, though. In fact, someone attached a paintball gun to a Spot robot, and Boston Dynamics offered to give them another Spot robot for free if they promised not to do that.
Of course, just because Boston Dynamics won't, doesn't mean someone else won't.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"First vids of a Yak-52 trainer jet shooting at an Orlan-10.
Russian troops practicing how to dodge FPV drones.
They do realize with a lot of these drones hitting them is a bonus close enough counts.
Who watches the watchmen?Well, it is about the same difference as jumping on the grenade and being near it.

A bit interesting there like the Ukrainian Yak-52 trainer jet engaging the Orlan-10.
Drone vid of a Russian soldier trying to use a washbowl for head protection.
On the bright side, when the Zombie Apocalypse finally comes, we'll have a good weapon to send against the horde.
We're screwed if there's a Dragon Apocalypse though.
