[[AC:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/HelluvaBoss'':
** Stella has a surprising amount of defenders who take her side even after it's been demonstrated repeatedly that she is unambiguously in the wrong, and that she was [[HateSink intentionally written in a way to make the audience side against her]]. Most of this is down to statements made by Octavia and Asmodeus being taken at face value. Octavia mentions that she remembers a time "when [her] parents didn't hate each other" and Asmodeus accuses Stolas of flushing his happy marriage down the toilet just to sleep with Blitzo. However, Stolas makes it clear that there's vital context and information of which Octavia is unaware, and Asmodeus is never suggested to be close enough to the family that he would know about the inner workings of Stolas and Stella's marraige. [[spoiler: Even after Stella hires an assassin to kill her husband, and it's revealed that Stolas was forced to marry Stella against his will and that she was abusive towards him long before he began his affair with Blitzo]], her fans still adamantly take her side, insisting that Stella's villainy is a retcon in spite of all the foreshadowing baked into the earlier episodes.
** A contingent of fans see the show as being anti-religion, or at least anti-Christian. In reality, the show never makes any arguments in favor of or against religion, and the religious elements are largely superficial, used more for set dressing than anything else. Even if they were, the main characters are all demons from Hell and largely miserable, showing that their behavior is not to be emulated.

* ''Webcomic/SpringtrapAndDeliah''
** The scene in which Nick refuses to forgive Springtrap for threatening him and follows it up by saying that he hates him for taking Deliah away got him on many a fan's bad side, a few even commenting how Nick was being unreasonable and that he should have accepted the apology or at least should have made an effort to get on good terms. Apparently a lot of those fans forgot that Springtrap literally threatened to ''kill'' Nick and has been doing everything in his power to estrange him from his daughter. One apology in that situation is clearly too little too late.
** Likewise, [[spoiler:Deliah telling Springtrap not to touch her in the Light Ending once he admits the truth to her, especially after she told him she'd never hate him just 2 pages prior, had many readers criticizing her for seemingly lying to Springtrap and being called a bad friend. As heartbreaking as it is, Deliah's reaction is entirely understandable and realistic for finding out her best friend is a former SerialKiller and was foreshadowed all the way back in Act 1. Others have pointed out that just because she is afraid of him in that moment doesn't necessarily mean that she hates him and they could still reconcile in the future, once Springtrap has gotten the help he needs.]]
