Oh, right, credit to Laniv for posting this in the other thread but per the official support page, for the games affected:
- Splatoon 3 is gonna get an update that'll move all posting to Nintendo servers directly, albeit now with an age filter for players under a certain age.
- Splatoon 2 is out of luck, and the plaza posting feature will just be inoperable now.
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will no longer allow screenshots to be sent to the Smash World app in NSO... which was an extremely obscure feature of the game that most people prolly aren't aware about.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaWould that mean we're limited to what the preset posts have and what we run into in online battles for Murch to try to get us in Splatoon 2?
To be fair, I think most people forgot about the NSO app.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.NSO app is region-locked too which is stupid.
Anyway as annoying as it is, at least the switch has a QR code transfer for images/screenshots.
Also I know twitter replies are dumb, but holy shit the responses on the news are full of ignorant posters. One even making a fanboyish post about how they're moving to "PS 5 to post gaming on twitter" even though Playstation and X-Box did the twitter removal earlier.

You can also copy the screenshots from the SD card in the console to your PC. There's adapters for SD card readers too.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Yeah but it's kind of a hassle to plug it in and out, especially in OG Switch/deck where the slot is in the underside. The QR at least is just scanning.

okay, probably unpopular opinion, but i might as well say it:
i'm more excited for the June Direct than i am for Switch 2 news.
maybe it's because i know i'm not buying the successor at launch, or because i finally have things to look forward to, or because it's more immediate than Switch 2 news, but i'm just... not too excited for Switch 2 news. it might just be because it's all anyone is talking about now.
Think we're ready for that next floor, Eight.I'm in the "I'll get excited for Switch 2 once more concrete information comes out" camp, so I'm pretty much in the same camp as you in being more excited about what the Direct will contain.
Personally, I'm not in any particular rush in hearing about Switch 2 news, and the thing I want to know most is "Did you double-check and make sure there won't be a drift issue?"
I'd need to know games that will be coming to be excited for a console.
SoundCloudYou can't play specs. I'm interested in the Switch direct since we'll get info about games, and I'll be interested in the Switch 2 reveal because we'll get info about games.
One is more imminent than the other though.
I'm just in desperate need of some new game announcements. Doesn't help that it feels like the only things that have been announced in the past several months has been remakes of old Mario games.
What I really want is a new Warriors crossover, whether it's another Hyrule Warriors, FE Warriors, or with a different Nintendo IP.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!A Castlevania Warriors might be good.
If they still refuse to make a new mainline game, just throw every one of them into a big crossover.
One Strip! One Strip!Xenoblade Warriors is such a perfect opportunity it would be criminal not to make it.
I missed the part where that's my problem.mario warriors when
Think we're ready for that next floor, Eight.I will die laughing if Xenoblade Warriors happens, it's the "action game" that Monolithsoft's been recruiting for, and it ends up being a prequel to XB 3 about the Liberators vs. Z and Alpha.
You will get Judgment 2 and you will like it!

Help me. I can't get it out of my head. The main reasons I think most people are focused on the successor are because we've been anticipating it at least for a year and a half and the Switch is clearly in its twilight year.
I also don't think there's much left that new for the Switch specifically l, I'll be happy to be wrong, even if I don't like the thing.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I wonder if Prime 4 will end up on Switch or Switch 2. Or be like BotW and be on both, but clearly be barely functional on the weaker console.
If it ever comes out at this point, that is.

Oissu! It will be on the Switch 2, and might be in the Switch 1 as well.
Kid Icarus Warriors with a DLC campaign in which Bayonetta gets involved.
Ukrainian Red Cross....Bot W wasn't "barely functional" on the Wii U. Even before patches.

Yeah botw is perfectly functional on the wii u, don't what your talking about.
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEI would like to see Nintendo have the most cutting edge graphical power house out there, just to see the people who held graphics as the most important thing suddenly now argue how graphics aren't everything.
Actually, was there ever a time Nintendo was the graphical leader?
-Witty line-Probably the SNES, with things like Mode 7 and its amazing sound capabilities.
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.Nintendo 64 is the most noticeable one.
Splatoon 3 is switching over to using Nintendo's own servers to host the posts. Splatoon 2's post function will just be shutting down.
