Depends on how high effort those remakes would be... plus a new entry (especially if it's in a subseries with a strong debut) is more impressive than yet another set of remakes.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownIt should be noted that The Pokemon Company and ILCA, the folks behind BDSP, did set up a new subsidiary, known as Pokemon Works, back in March (article).
Most folks are speculating that the new subsidiary is a remake making group, because they did the same thing with Bandai Namco to make the next Ace Combat game, but nothing has been really said one way or the other.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."We have now been waiting the Switch's entire lifespan for Metroid Prime 4.
Seriously, the game was originally announced way back in 2017, only a couple of months after the Switch came out.
Prime 3 will be 17 years old at the end of August this year!
"That we continue to persist at all is a testament to our faith in one another."Prime 4 is either the last hurrah on the Switch, a dual release on Switch and Switch 2, or it gets moved to Switch 2 exclusively.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Think we might have a contender for the next Duke Nukem Forever (in terms of "it's been how long since the initial announcement?!") in Prime 4...
Although now that I've said that, watch it be a big thing during the Direct in a couple months.

Not even close. Add another decade to the count and then we can talk about beating Forever's devtime.
The only game that's close to DNF is yandere simulator(even though its technically playable it still in development even after ten years.)
After 10 year plus years I have the confidence to be here. Let's give it EVERYTHING we've got! It's...PUNISHMENT TIMEEven Beyond Good and Evil 2 takes the cake being announced in 2008 and still being worked on after 16 years of the announcement.
I didn't bring it up last page, but figured I'd bring it up now.
From my experience, new threads for new systems are usually made either when the new system is fully announced or has a name.
I made the this thread when Iwata announced Project NX back in March 2015 and also made the PS 5 thread when Sony first said something in April 2019, but I didn't make the Xbox Series thread until Xbox officially unveiled it at the 2019 Game Awards.
We could still make the thread for the successor, to keep any of the rumors in that thread, but the name would be awkward until the reveal where we would need to hollar the mods for a name change.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."If the Switch might be a continuous line, a la Xbox and PlayStation, how about treating this thread as the general Switch series thread?
Nintendo just shadowdropped an announcement of the successor (in my opinion) to NES Remix.

That's not what "shadowdrop" means. It comes out in July, "shadowdropping" would mean it comes out today.
(*hopes in vain that we still get Hi-Fi Rush on Switch*)
Let me live in denial...
Ohhh, that looks baller!

weird how the only way to get the physical version is to buy it with merch, but hey
at least there's an actual physical version (looking at you, official English translation of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light)
Think we're ready for that next floor, Eight.Considering that Microsoft just shut down the studio that made Hi-Fi Rush, I'm not expecting it anymore.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Honestly, between the shit that has been haṕpening with Microsoft and to a lesser extent with Sony, the news about Nintendo announcing a June Direct and that we'll get news about the next system during this new fiscal year come off as a breath of fresh air. Not all gaming news in 2024 are bad after all.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300@tclittle: Thanks for answering my question. So no need for a new thread right now, then.
"He betrayed the Staaarks" is not the only problem here. This was expected to happen at some point, but starting June 10th of this year, all site-formerly-known-as-Twitter functionalities will be defunct on the Switch, most notably the ability to upload photos/videos directly to Twitter from the console.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaLooks like it's time to bring back Miiverse.
Finally, Miiverse is back!
Help me. I can't get it out of my head. Will this affect posts in Splatoon 2/3? How do I upload posts without using Elon Musk's (formerly) bird site, then?

"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."I loved Miiverse. I'd like to see it return.
One Strip! One Strip!
Purely a hunch, but if there was a pokemon remake in the works for this Christmas, I feel like they would've announced it before a game coming next year
